Netball News!

Our year 6 netball team were in action again this week for the culmination of a brilliant season in the Maidstone schools league. They travelled with Mrs Baldwin to Greenfields Primary School for the finals. In the semi-final, we played Greenfields. It was a solid performance from East Borough, with excellent centre court play, great defence, and accurate shooting. The final score was 13 goals to East Borough, 8 goals to Greenfields. In the final, we played against a very strong and evenly matched Southborough team. It was a feisty game, with both teams determined to win. The ball flowed well down to both ends of the court, but in the end, Southborough just pipped us to the post with a 10 v 9 win.

Well done to Aiden, Oliver, Ama, Harmony, Jessica R, Amelia, Ava, Jovan and Cody for your resilience and passion – you should all be very proud of your performance this season. Thank you to all the children that have attended netball club and came to games and tournaments this year, and especially to the parents that have come to support – we could not do this without you! A special thanks to Mrs Baldwin who has given up so much of her own time to coach and drive the minibus this season – we will miss you next year!
