Our Mission
At Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough, we have chosen a set of Core Values to support the children to develop skills and traits that extend beyond the classroom. We believe that through our values of Aspiration, Resilience, Respect, Responsibility and Courage, we can encourage the children of East Borough to become lifelong learners and contribute to wider society.
At East Borough, we don’t have sets of rules, just our East Borough Code that we all abide by: be kind, be safe, be the best you can be. This overarching code links to our Class Charters enabling the children to identify how their behaviour will allow all pupils to have a great learning experience.
Each term, the children and staff discuss an East Borough Code and Core Value to explore its meaning and impact on our community. We then focus on its significance for the remainder of the term with promotions through assemblies, posters, school newsletters and banners as you arrive at the main entrance.
The East Borough Code and Core Values help establish a calm and purposeful atmosphere in the school. We hope that you get the opportunity to experience this for yourself when your child starts their school journey with us.
