Music
At Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough we have lots of opportunities to make music! In 2020 we were delighted to receive the Music Mark school award.
We believe that music is a vital part of the curriculum and, as such, all of the children at our school learn to play an instrument. During their time at East Borough, as part of their regular music lessons, the children learn to play the Recorder, Ukulele and Djembe drums, as well as having the opportunity to join our large choir and recorder club.
We regularly take part in events in the community and have a wonderful Christmas Concert for the whole school every year. Each year, we attend the Young Voices concert at the 02 Arena and have been lucky enough to take part in the Children in Need Kent area choir, appearing on BBC television conducted by our music leader, Karen Hill.
The children really value the creativity and freedom of expression that music brings.
