Religious Education (RE)
At Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough, our Religious Education curriculum aims to be accessible to all and maximise the development of every child’s ability and academic achievement in the area of Religious Education. We intend to stimulate their interest and understanding concerning different religions and spiritual beliefs.
Intent
To build a Religious Education curriculum that develops learning, knowledge and skills enabling children to enquire, research and analyse Religious Education.
Pupils will know more and remember more about different religions, religious festivals, rituals and places of worship. They will be encouraged to recap on their prior learning and make links between the various religions to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding.
Rich in cultural capital, our RE curriculum offers a wide variety of learning experiences and additional opportunities. We embrace the diverse nature of our pupils and the local community to develop tolerance and understanding. This helps to prepare the children for life outside of East Borough.
The RE curriculum at East Borough aims to inspire a curiosity and love of learning about religions and beliefs of others in the world so that children at Valley Invicta Primary School at East Borough can thrive in later life.
