Personal Development
As a Trust we pride ourselves on identifying and signposting our pupils to clubs, events and wider opportunities that they may want to explore that can enhance and develop their passions and expertise.
School plays a significant role in a child’s life and, as well as educating children with the academic knowledge they need, at East Borough, we plan our curriculum and extra-curricular activities so that we educate beyond this. Personal Development builds knowledge, attitudes, skills, relationships and behaviour for use both in and outside the classroom.
In this section of the website, you can see some of the opportunities that we offer the children and the different ways in which we prepare them for life beyond school. We encourage pupils to take responsibility for aspects of school life: for example, helping younger pupils, representing their class as an EAL Ambassador or Reading Rep, being part of an ECO council to help us improve our environmental awareness and participating in community activities.
You can find information about some of these aspects on the drop-down menu on this tab, the School Clubs page and the News sections of the website.
