Yoto Carnegie Awards

On Thursday, our UKS2 Reading Reps attended the Yoto Carnegie Awards ceremony at the Cambridge theatre in London (home of Matilda the Musical).

We heard from all the short-listed authors and illustrators, learning about their passion for books and watched the announcements of the winners live. The winner of the Medal for Writing was Jospeh Coelho with his book ‘The Boy Lost in the Maze; the winner of the Medal for Illustration was Aaron Becker with his wordless book ‘The Tree and the River’.

The children really enjoyed the trip and we all had a super day out!
