Therapy dog introductions

This week, Skye got to know 18 different children a little bit better. The children chose a book they thought Skye might like and read a few pages to her. They learnt about Skye’s breed and the pads on her feet as she really liked scratching her back on our fake grass carpet in the library. Lots of strokes and cuddles were given and she loved hearing the different stories chosen!

It was a great first week with our new therapy dog, getting to know her and what she likes. Moving forward the different groups will do some games and activities alongside her.

A special mention and a big well done must go to Izabela too, who was a bit wary of Skye at first but was soon stroking her!
